Dream Casting: A Court of Thorns and Roses series - part 1

Dream Casting is something I adore doing -- it can on the same time as being extremely fun, also be a difficult challenge (and I really enjoy that). I love finding "real" faces to fictional characters. I would very much like if you'd comment your own dream cast!

I genuinely think that Lily James would be the perfect Feyre -- she really looks like her to me and she is also quite similar to the Feyre created by Charlie Bowater (definitely my dream Feyre). You need to check out her ACOTAR/ACOMAF art (it's absolutely gorgeous!!). The only thing missing with Lily James is Feyre's bluish-grey eyes, but that's easy peasy to fix. I think she's the most accurate choice out of all the suggestions I've found so far.

A Tamlin was for sure the hardest to find out of all four characters. Luke Bracey is nearly perfect for the role -- he's radiating Tamlin from every part of him. He's Australian and cute and could positively portray a great beast. And he looks attractive with blonde hair too.

CHRIS WOOD as Rhysand
My sister and I talked about this actor for the role and both of us would be pleased with Chris Wood as Rhys (if there will ever be a movie). The beard is actually no problem for me (even though Rhys doesn't have one), but it's easy to overlook if you don't like it -- Chris Wood looks gorgeous without it as well so there's nothing to worry about. And the gif above is surely nothing to complain about, am I right?

Lucien has red hair and Dane does too, so that's great. I was surprised to find Dane Dehaan so similar to my "in-my-head" Lucien. He's very cute and he seems lovely (as do Lucien) so I'd love to see him in the role.

Friday Recaps | Week 30

Friday Recaps is when I recap what has happened during the still ongoing week and what will happen later on.

Being me, it's so typical to create something like Friday Recaps and then forget to write my second post last week (week 29). But oh well, there's nothing I can do about that now -- here is week 30! I cannot understand that I've only 3 weeks left of summer break :( -- but on the other hand, I am truly-extremely-incredibly happy that it's my last year of school!!

• I have actually read three books this week (and it's only Friday) so I'm very pleased with myself and what I've accomplished these five days.
       • This Savage Song, A Darker Shade of Magic and Captive Prince (click for reviews)

• My family and I watched The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and I gave it 7/10 stars.
• I started watching Bates Motel with my sister. I watched 3 episode and couldn't stand how suspenseful it was so I gave up... for the moment. My sister is now 2 seasons ahead of me (!! already), which is unfortunate because I don't know if I dare watch it myself (it's so much scarier than I'd thought).

I received my first book from an author (free, in exchange for an honest review -- you know the drill) and I'm excited to read and review it!

• I have discovered that I, a lover of YA, am no longer a fan of YA contemporary. Sorry not sorry. BUT WHYYY? I just don't feel it anymore, not at all. I haven't read a YA contemporary in forever (since March). But on the other hand, my love for FANTASY has intensified. I adore fantasy!

• I'm trying to catch up on Teen Wolf, season 5. I have 5 episodes left and it hopefully won't take long to get through them all. It's really good and it used to be one of my favorite series (before I experienced the magic of Game of Thrones and a few other fantastic series).

Book to Movie: A Monster Calls and The Girl with All the Gifts

Book to movie adaptations are fun (sometimes, not too often) because I like to see how books turn out on the screen. And therefore I decided to create Book to Movie, posts where I write about adaptations and everything that has to do with books becoming movies/tv-shows.

TV-show Review: Stranger Things (First Season)

This weekend I watched the new Netflix series, Stranger Things, and I absolutely (completely) loved it. It's an eight-episode series (so far since it's only one season out) that takes place in 1983 and it follows a group of people looking for Will, a young boy who mysteriously disappears one night on the way home. (Although I'm a 90s kid, I know how well they created the 80s feeling - it was impressing and amazing.)

Friday Recaps | Week 28

Friday Recaps is when I recap what has happened during the still ongoing week and what will happen later on.

• I read a few pages in A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin (a book I've been reading for ages) and I can't seem to finish it - something I really want to do because it's an incredible book.

• I started reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling this week. I've read it before in Swedish three years ago. This time I'm reading it in English (so much better!!). I absolutely love Harry Potter.

• Marcella is a new Netflix original series that I decided to watch this week (it's only 8 episodes so it took two days to watch them all). I really liked it and I'd recommend it to people who like crime/thriller/mystery etc.

• I watched the first episode of Gilmore Girls, which is finally out on Netflix. I will definitely watch more when I get the chance.

• I bought new books.

• A new Netflix series, Stranger Things, came out today. And since it's Netflix, all 8 episodes are out today. I'm really interested in seeing what it's all about. Although I'm not the biggest horror fan I think it will be something for me. I'll probably watch the first episode later today.

It's Not Summer Without a New Summer Design!

My new summer, flower-y design/header. (Summer in Sweden sucks because it's always raining but at least these cute flowers make it a little better). I am really happy that it turned out so great. I love all the pink/purple colors so much. I hope you like it too! And as you may see, I added a few new links under and above the header. I'm going to add blogs I read to the blog roll link later so you'll be able to see what blogs (book blogs in particular) I follow :)

New Books!! / July 2016

Two exclamation marks are really important for something as important as NEW BOOKS!!

I bought some new books and they're SOOO post-worthy, don't you think? I always try to order books from the Book Depository whenever the time is right (when they are cheaper than they usually are...), and this time it was. I got these for about 70 SEK (8 USD) each, and I think that was a pretty good deal! I'm so happy to have all six books on my shelf!

And what also makes me really happy is that I finally own all the books in The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater!! I've only read The Raven Boys (last year) so far and I cannot wait to read the other three because I'm seeing spoilers all over Tumblr :( Have you read The Raven Cycle yet, or any of the other books?

They look so pretty together!
